About Us

Africa English Language Teachers’ Consortium

"United we stand."

The long awaited regional body that would create a united front for English language practitioners in Africa has finally become a reality. As a community, members of Africa TESOL would pursue professionalism in language education and strive to create an enabling environment for research and practice to interact.
After initial email consultation with African affiliates of TESOL International Association, eight affiliates consented to be part of this initiative. Today, we have Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Ethiopia, Mali, Sudan (two associations), Tunisia, Angola, Togo, Tanzania, Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria, Somalia and Uganda as member affiliates.
